Thank you for your willingness to join me and form a crochet and yarn guild. I thought "Murphy Farms Yarn Club" sounded a bit more fun, so here we are.
Our first gathering is Thursday, October 7 from 7:00 to about 9:00 p.m. Shoot me an email if you need my address and directions.
It will be great to meet everyone and see each other's projects. There is a place for you whether you are experienced or novice--we are gathering to teach, learn and share our passion for working with yarn. There's something enjoyable about holding a beautiful yarn and transforming it into an object of affection. This group is an open platform and friends of friends are welcome--just bring your project or aspirations.
Here are a few ideas for the charter of our new group:
Make friends, bring friends, have fun!
Be inspired to start a new project or finish projects that may have stalled out
Teach anyone intereted in learning to crochet or knit + how to read patterns
Share tips, tricks, techniques, helpful websites, yarn shops
Share patterns and project ideas for a group project for charity
Organize a selling opportunity if there's an interest
Easy and quick holiday gift project ideas
